Founder & Beauty Alchemist
Jess originally created Intermission with the dream of opening a beauty salon, a place where people could step back from their busy lives and enjoy a well-deserved beauty break. The lease was signed, the business plan was in place. But just as everything seemed set, the pandemic hit, steering Jess’s plans in an unexpected direction.
What she didn’t know at the time was that the universe was setting her on a whole new path. Over the next three years, Jess faced unexpected challenges, including multiple health issues that forced her to step away from hairstyling and the harsh chemicals that came with it. As she prioritized her well-being, she began swapping out conventional health and beauty products for more natural alternatives—eventually creating her own.
What started as a personal journey quickly became something bigger. Determined to help others seeking cleaner, more earth-friendly products, Jess reimagined her business from the ground up. While the original plan may have changed, the heart of Intermission lives on—giving people the beauty break they deserve.

From the moment Jess started her journey with Intermission, Meg was there behind the scenes, supporting her every step of the way. Watching firsthand as her wife was forced to step back from the career she loved while facing daily health challenges was heart-wrenching. But as Meg watched Jess’s journey unfold, she was moved by her unwavering dedication—not only to improving her own health but to creating products that could help others facing similar struggles. Seeing Jess transform her pain into something so meaningful and impactful was incredibly inspiring.
Meg couldn’t stay on the sidelines. She felt a deep, personal calling to help share Jess’s vision with the world. Together, they are on a mission to offer people an intermission from life’s chaos—helping them reclaim their well-being and restore balance with products that are as pure as they are powerful. Intermission isn’t just a business—it’s a testament to the strength of love, resilience, and the power of helping others through our own struggles.
